WASHINGTON (WKOW)--Officials with the U-S Veterans Affairs Department say there are more than 100 mismatched graves at our country's military cemeteries.
V-A officials say 115 headstones were found to be misaligned; which means they were over the wrong grave.
The National Cemetery Administration ordered a review after workers in San Antonio found dozens of markers one grave over from where they were supposed to be.
Family members, such as spouses, are often buried together in the same plot, but since the markers were off, several were buried with strangers.
The V-A has apologized for the errors and says the misplaced remains have been relocated.
