DES MOINES (WKOW) -- An Iowa woman has given birth to a big baby.

Asher Stewardson was born Thursday in Des Moines and weighed 13 pounds and 13 ounces. He measured 23 1/2 inches long.

Doctors say the boy's mother, Kendall Stewardson, didn't need surgery for the birth. She endured six hours of labor without an epidural injection.
