MADISON (WKOW) – Madison police say a woman on the city's north side contacted them to report graffiti written on her car on Tuesday morning.
Police say the 32-year-old woman had parked her car in a driveway near Portage Avenue, where someone wrote words on her car with water-based paint. The woman told police some of the writing represented sentiments of white supremacists, while others were more symbolic of an African American gang.
The woman, who is an African American, did not know of anyone who might target her.
Police say the officer who responded to the incident helped her wash paint from the car.
