NEW YORK (WKOW)-- More than $400,000 has poured into Planned Parenthood from thousands of donors.
Tuesday news broke that it would be losing grants for breast cancer screenings from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Breast Cancer Foundation.
Some members of Congress are criticizing the move by Komen.
But conservative religious and anti-abortion groups are applauding it.
Planned Parenthood says the funding was cut off because Komen was getting so much pressure from advocates.
But Komen issued a statement, saying politics did not play a role, and that the decision was based on its newly adopted criteria for issuing grants.
