MADISON (WKOW) -- Police arrest a teenager who allegedly made a threat to students and staff at Madison Memorial High School on Facebook.
The Capital Times reports the 17-year-old was arrested Wednesday morning. Police think the boy used a community center computer to post the threat. Police spokesman Joel DeSpain tells the Associated Press the boy said people at the high school would be shot.
Principal Bruce Dahmen told the Capital Times the high school, along with nearby Jefferson Middle School and Muir Elementary School, were told about the threat, however students kept normal schedules.
The teenager was arrested within an hour of the school being notified of the posting.
