Reward goes up in dog death investigation

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- A reward is now up to $8,500 for information leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible for the brutal death of a puppy.

A 4-month-old chocolate lab was found January 26 along Highway A in the Town of Rutland. Police say the dog was suffocated and bound with packing tape.

The Dane County Humane Society says after our story aired, about 25 people called in with donations.

The Dane County Sheriff's Department says they have been receiving calls about the case, but they still don't have any leads.
