Wisconsin drops 5-1 decision to St. Cloud State

MADISON (WKOW) – Freshman forward Brendan Woods scored on a late power play for Wisconsin (12-13-2, 7-12-2 WCHA) to break a shutout, but the Badgers fell, 5-1, to St. Cloud State (11-14-4, 8-10-3 WCHA) on Friday at the Kohl Center.
      UW outshot St. Cloud State, 32-24, the seventh time this season it has outshot an opponent, but St. Cloud State went 3-for-5 on the power play.
      Junior defenseman John Ramage was called for a five-minute major and game misconduct at 14:14 of the first period.
      Woods was called for a checking from behind penalty and a game disqualifaction at 19:40 of the third period and will miss Saturday's game.
