KENOSHA (WKOW)-- Authorities say a 'hit-list' threatening violence against African-American students at UW-Parkside were a hoax.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department announced Friday night that a student who was on the list confessed that she created it and fliers found in a dormitory. The written threats were found after a report of a rubber band noose found in a residence hall.
The department says the student created the list and fliers because she was not happy with the initial response from a resident assistant to the noose.
Sheriff David Beth said he expects charges to be filed against the student and anyone else involved in the incident.
