On Thursday February 2, the Sauk County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at E4538 Ruetten Drive in the Township of Spring Green and found a large scale marijuana growing operation in the residence. Authorities estimated the value of processed and raw marijuana found to be approximately $130,000.
In a press release from the Sauk County Sheriff's Department, the investigation started with an anonymous tip stating that somebody was growing marijuana in the general area. The Sauk County Drug Task Force was able to find the location and perform a search.
Sheriff Chip Meister said, "This was a very sophisticated operation and the suspects went to great lengths to conceal their criminal activity."
