MADISON (WKOW) -- Only a few more days remain for Republican state senators to challenge recall efforts against them.
Democrats are trying to oust six Republicans from office after Gov. Scott Walker passed a contentious collective bargaining law. They include Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and Sens. Scott Fitzgerald, Pam Galloway, Terry Moulton and Van Wanggaard. Democrats turned recall petitions to state election officials last month with 2 million signatures.
The state Government Accountability Board is currently working to verify the signatures. The four senators have until Thursday to examine the petitions and challenge any questionable signatures.
The deadline for Walker for file his challenges is February 27. Kleefisch has until March 5.
