UPDATE: Kathleen Falk starts statewide tour

Posted:

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk started a two-day state tour Tuesday, promoting her candidacy for the possible recall election against Gov. Scott Walker.

Falk is the only announced Democratic candidate. Her tour will take her to cities across the state, including Milwaukee, Green Bay, La Crosse and Wausau.

At a stop at a library in Green Bay, Falk told voters it's time for a change.

"I've balanced a budget 14 years in a row, far longer than Scott Walker will restore integrity and civility, because that's how you need to operate to work with people to get things done; like I have done as county executive for 14 years," Falk said.

In a recent poll by Marquette Law School of registered voters, Gov. Walker was favored 49 to 42 percent in a potential election with Falk. The margin of error for that portion of the poll was seven percentage points.

A number of other Democrats are considering getting into the race, but none of them have officially declared yet.
