SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- State superintendent Tony Evers stopped by Sun Prairie Tuesday to learn more about the school district's education programs.
The district has built a state-of-the-art high school that has new technology facilities.
Sun Prairie has a history of award-winning career and technical education programs. Evers toured those programs in food science, nursing, marketing, business and technology education.
Sun Prairie schools superintendent Tim Culver said it's an honor to have Evers see what the district has accomplished so far.
"It makes me very proud of our staff and our students and our school and what we're accomplishing here, and it's an honor to have a person at that level come visit and sort of hear about what we're doing," said Culver.
Evers also met with school and community leaders to discuss career and technical education and the business connection with the schools.
