MADISON (WKOW) -- The Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) has reopened to aircraft operations, after a single-engine plane crashed Friday morning.
In a release from DCRA, the incident involving a TMB700 single-engine plane happened Friday at 8:35 a.m. while it was departing on Runway 21.
Officials say three people were on board the plane. Madison fire officials two people were taken to St. Mary's Hospital for minor injuries.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration's website, the plane is registered to Precision Aviation LLC, based out of Menasha, Wisconsin.
The airport was closed for a short time and reopened 9:01 a.m. Friday.
Airport officials say a team from the FAA will investigate the incident.

Airport officials say the small plane deviated from the runway during takeoff. All three people on board suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Officials say two small fires broke out on the runway after the crash, but both were put out immediately by Madison fire crews.
Officials say the commercial runway at Dane County Regional Airport was closed during the crash response. It is expected to reopen shortly.
