MADISON (WKOW) -- Flower shops are getting ready for one of their biggest days of the year.
Choles Floral in Madison says they bring in extra staff, days in advance for Valentine's Day.
The store typically sells 5,000 to 6,000 Valentine's roses, in addition to other arrangements.
"We've been taking orders for the last couple weeks. We're pretty much at capacity already, as far as delivery for Valentines Day, although we welcome people to come to the store and pick stuff up," said John Krystofiak, the store manager.
He says they've been in touch with rose growers for months, to make sure they'll have enough in stock.
And the most popular Valentine's Day flower?
Krystofiak says it's the red rose, of course.
