MADISON (WKOW) -- Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson's campaign released its first radio ad for Thompson's U.S. Senate bid Monday.
The 60-second spot attacks Democratic challenger Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) for her support of President Obama's health care initiative and contraception coverage plan.
Thompson and Baldwin are among the declared candidates vying for the seat of retiring Sen. Herb Kohl, a Democrat.
The ad also says Thompson "has proposed sweeping reforms to downsize government and put more money back in your wallet."
Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, (R-Horicon), and former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann are also seeking the Republican nomination.
