MADISON (WKOW) – Three Republican State Representatives say they are not going to seek re-election this fall.
The Representatives are Dan Meyer (R-Eagle River), Richard Spanbauer (R-Oshkosh) and Michelle Litjens (R-Vinland).
Meyer has served in the Assembly for 12 years, saying that's a good term limit to impose on himself.
Spanbauer, who has served since 2008, told the Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper that he's tired of lawmakers who care more about politics than people.
Litjens, who was elected in 2010, wants to spend more time with her family. She says she has helped turn the state around.
During this legislative session, protesters angry over Governor Scott Walker's collective bargaining law have spent the past year harassing GOP.
