
MADISON (WKOW) -- Child Protective Services had made seven contacts with the Chritton/Drabek family now charged with abuse of a 15-year-old girl.
The Wisconsin Department of Family Services released a document that records multiple visits to the home where a young girl was allegedly physically and sexually abused.
The first visit from Child Protective Services was in May 1997, an investigation was launched after allegations of physical abuse to a child. Officials say they found signs of maltreatment. How CPS followed up is not documented.
The next visit came in June 2006 & January 2007, two CPS Reports alleging sexual abuse to a child that occurred in another state were investigated. Maltreatment was not found in each case and the child was determined safe.
In March 2007, a CPS report was filed alleging sexual abuse, neglect and threatened harm to two children. Each maltreatment allegation was not found, and the children were determined safe.
In June 2009, a CPS Report alleging neglect to a child was also investigated. The DCDHS referred the family to a community service provider.
In September 2009, a CPS Report alleging neglect to a child was investigated. The DCDHS referred the family to a community service provider, who made contact with the family.
In March 2011, a CPS Report alleging neglect to a child was also investigated.
Finally, in February 6, 2012, a CPS Report was reported and investigated alleging neglect and physical abuse of a child. This report was followed by two more reports with similar allegations. This is the case that has led to charges filed against the girl's father, stepmother and stepbrother.
