OSSEO (WKOW) -- Castle Rock Organic Dairy Plant in Osseo, Wisconsin, is warning the public to not drink whole milk dated February 29 because it may not be properly pasteurized.
After conducting laboratory testing, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection confirmed that pasteurization of the product may have been inadequate. Food safety officials are unaware of any illnesses caused by the product.
The product in question carries the brand name Castle Rock Organic Farms. It was sold in half-gallon and quart glass bottles. It has a sell-by date of February 29 and dairy plant number of 55-1951 on the bottle. Safety officials believe the milk has been distributed in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
If you have the product in question in your home, you should throw it away.
