Christ the King Parish in McFarland says it added a teenage abuse victim to its prayer chain on Sunday.

"Its an email prayer chain we have not only people in our parish part on it, but former parishioners and people who've heard about it,", said Father Steve Smith.

Christ the King is just blocks from the home where the girl lived, and where authorities say she was abused and nearly starved to death by her family.

Her father, step-mother and step-brother all face charges of abuse, and are scheduled to be back in court on Thursday.
