MADISON (WKOW) -- A state corrections official revised earlier information on the number of visits a probation agent made to the Madison home of a starved and tortured teenager, stating an agent was at the home three times since December of last year.
Last week, state corrections spokesperson Tim LeMond said a probation agent made one December visit to the home of the 15-year old girl. The girl was found injured by a passerby earlier this month and her parents and stepbrother arrested. Authorities alleged the girl was largely confined to a basement for several years.
Corrections spokesperson Linda Eggert Monday said visits by corrections officials were made to the home on three separate occasions: Dec. 13, 2011, Jan.10. 2012 and Jan. 19, 2012. Eggert cited an ongoing investigation in declining to provide additional information on the visits, other than identifying the first visit as a residence assessment. The victim's stepbrother, Joshua Drabek, 18, was placed on probation and under the supervision of the corrections department last November after being convicted of sexual assault.
Drabek has been charged additionally with sexual assault of his stepsister. Her father, Chad Chritton and stepmother, Melinda Drabek-Chritton, also face felony charges, including child abuse. They are scheduled to appear in Dane County court Thursday.
