WKOW 27: Madison, WI Breaking News, Weather and SportsHigh school skiers and snowboarders compete at state championship

LA CROSSE (WKOW) -- High school skiers and snowboarders took the spotlight on Presidents' Day weekend in La Crosse, competing in the annual state championships.

In the boys varsity slalom, the top local finisher is Tommy Arneson from Madison edgewood, and he finished in 9th place.

Jeremy Gottlieb from Madison Memorial came in 10th place.

In the girls giant slalom, Verona's Ally Dykman finished in 9th place, and our top local finisher is Verona snowboarder Cole Blakley, who took second in the men's boardercross.
