PHOENIX (WKOW) -- Authorities say an Idaho woman accused of taking her three children in a custody squabble may be in the Phoenix metropolitan area on the way to Mexico.
An Amber Alert was issued Sunday morning for a 9-year-old boy and two girls. The girls are age five and seven.
Police say 35-year-old Bertha Sabala Guerrero lost custody of her three children in December. Authorities reported she left her children with a woman did just met. The children were placed in foster care in Idaho.
Guerrero picked up the children for a 24-hour visitation visit Friday. She failed to return them the next day. Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Guerrero. They say the mother has family living in Phoenix and Mexico.
