MADISON (WKOW) -- When it comes to the jewelry business, T.Q. Diamonds is outshining its competition.
The Madison jewelry store has one of a kind designs and badger influence. The shop is licensed to market the Motion W.
"It represents teamwork between a local business that's family owned with the University of Wisconsin," says Ted Pittman of T.Q.
T.Q. Diamonds was the dream of Tim Quigly. He opened the store in 1987, and the family business has grown exponentially.
Pittman said, "That's a testimony to our staff, that we have over 100 years of experience here on the sales floor on any given day."
And in the back, they have expert goldsmiths making the settings, and perfecting the craft.
T.Q. is much bigger than the storefront you'll find on Mineral Point Road. They have grown on the web.
Orders are shipped directly from the store, and on most days they have at least 100 packages going out.
Pittman says they credit a lot of their success to the support of their neighbors.
"I think Madison is a community. And so when you're locally owned and you're family owned, Madison receives that very well."
That is why we call it, Made in Wisconsin.
