MADISON (WKOW) -- 27 News has been following the ladies of the Go Red for Women Girlfriends Challenge on their journey to healthier hearts.
Friday they joined more than 200 people in the Red Hot Zumbathon.
The American Heart Association event raised money for heart disease research.
For the nine girlfriend challengers, it was a chance to put their goals in motion.
They have only been at it about a week, but are already seeing a big difference.
Cara Vanderlin says, "As soon as we leave those meetings we feel so motivated, just having everybody working together and the motivation that everybody brings to us is just great. I feel completely different."
The women have about 11 weeks left on their journey.
You can follow their progress here, and begin your own journey.
