
MADISON (WKOW) -- Thousands of schools across the nation celebrated The National Education Association's Read Across America Day.
Friday afternoon, students at West Middleton Elementary School got a special visit from Bucky Badger, UW running back Montee Ball and UW tight end Brian Wozniak.
Some friendly faces from WKOW also took part in Read Across America Day. 27 News' Elishah Oesch read to students at Cesar Chavez Elementary, and John Beard read to kids at the Express Learning Center.
Friday also marks the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
