MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Middleton police say they have arrested a 40-year-old Madison man for his fourth drunk driving offense.
Officers spotted the driver on Gammon Road early Wednesday morning when they attempted to stop him. Middleton police say the driver, Christopher Oleson, started driving at high speeds. Because of the increased speeds, officers decided it was too dangerous to pursue the vehicle.
Officials later found the vehicle on Whitacre Road in Madison, after the driver apparently hit a tree and fled on foot.
With the help of Madison and Mt. Horeb police K9 units, Oleson was found on foot.
He was arrested and jailed on tentative charges of Operating While Intoxicated 4th offense and Felony Fleeing an Officer.
