Former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk has announced that she's running to become the next governor of Wisconsin.More >>
MADISON (WKOW) -- A new political television ad put out by the Republican Governors Association focuses on Tom Barrett's record first and Kathleen Falk's second.
There's a big difference between the two Democrats however: One is running for Governor against incumbent Scott Walker and the other is not, at least not yet.
Falk, the former Dane County executive, announced her candidacy two months ago, but Barrett, the Mayor of Milwaukee, has yet to enter the race.
Barrett has said he will announce his decision on whether to run after the Government Accountability Board certifies a recall election for Governor on March 30, and before his own primary race on April 3.
In the 30 second ad, the first 19 seconds are dedicated to Barrett's record on taxes and employment, while it focuses on Falk's record for only five seconds.
The last five seconds combines both names together to say, "Barrett and Falk: Higher Taxes, Fewer Jobs."
