MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police will start riding some after school city buses to help keep order.
The move is part of a plan for more police patrols on Madison's southwest side. The Madison Common Council approved $30,000 for the effort.
The plan also calls for steps to prevent teen drug and gang activity.
Specifics on how the money will be spent will be decided by the Board of Estimates and Public Safety Review Committee next month.
The plans call for increased patrols on the southwest side from May to October.
