Mother, daughter booked for separate OWI's

MOUNT HOREB (WKOW) -- Two Mount Horeb women, one the mother of the other, were arrested for OWIs in different incidents Saturday.

An officer stopped 20-year-old Nikita S. Anderson after seeing her almost hit a stopped Dane County Sheriff's car and weaving in her lane.

Anderson was arrested for a 1st-offense Operating While Intoxicated.

Roughly one hour later, another Mount Horeb officer stopped second car driven by Shawna M. Thiel, who also happens to be Anderson's mother. The car had an expired registration, and the officer also had knowledge that Theil's license was revoked.

Thiel was arrested for a felony 4th-offense OWI and taken to the Dane County Jail. Her BAC results are pending.
