UPDATE: Authorities find Baraboo stabbing suspect

BARABOO (WKOW) -- Baraboo officials say a 25-year-old man is under guard at Meriter Hospital, after he was taken into custody early Thursday morning following a weekend stabbing.

Baraboo police say Keane Singleton was taken into custody around 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning on Allied Drive in Madison. Authorities with the Madison Police Department, Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation and the Baraboo Police Department assisted with the search for Singleton.

Police say on Saturday, they responded to the 900 block of Moore Street in Baraboo to the report of a 21-year-old woman who had been stabbed by her boyfriend. She was transported to a Madison hospital for serious, but not life threatening wounds.

Authorities found Singleton hiding in the basement of a Madison residence. The suspect was not hurt in the incident, however he was taken to Meriter Hospital because officials suspected he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Officials say Singleton will be taken to the Sauk County Jail once he is released from the hospital.


BARABOO (WKOW) -- Baraboo Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Saturday afternoon.

It happened in the 900 block of Moore Street in the City of Baraboo.

Police say a 21-year-old female was stabbed by her boyfriend and hospitalized. The woman was stabbed multiple times but her injuries do not appear to be life threatening at this time.

They have named 25-year-old Keane J. Singleton as a suspect. Singleton is possibly operating a blue Ford Expedition, WI plate 550-PRP. Baraboo Police say he has ties to the Madison area.
