WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- For the second year in a row, AirTran
has been ranked the best performing airline according to a newly released, "Airline Quality Rating Report."
The report was conducted by researchers at Wichita State University and Purdue University. Researchers
say there have been improvements in baggage handling, fewer delays and overbooked
flights and fewer consumer complaints.
2011 rating was the highest in more than two decades since the study began. In
second place was Hawaiian Airlines and in third was JetBlue. They were the top three airlines last year, too.
