Map of burglaries from January to March of 2012MADISON (WKOW) – The South Police District says it has seen a 50 percent jump in burglaries this year from what it saw at this time last year in Madison.
Police say an early spring could be the cause.
They are asking people living in the Greenbush, Vilas and Regent Street neighborhoods to watch out for their neighbor's property, especially with many UW students gone for spring break.
Residents are asked to report any suspicious people or vehicles to police.
You can call the South Police District at (608) 266-5938.
