REEDSBURG (WKOW) – A Beloit teen not even old enough for a driver's license is charged with drunken driving.
Police pulled over a 15-year-old boy in Reedsburg around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police Chief Timothy Becker said the teen told police he was 17 years old.
A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of 0.17 percent, more than double the legal limit.
Police issued citations for driving under the influence, driving with a revoked driver's license and obstructing an officer.
Although the boy is not old enough to have a driver's license, police said the Department of Transportation gave him a driver's license number, and it was revoked for previous violations.
He was released to an adult family friend, according to his parents' wishes.
