Security tight for Dodgers opening day

LOS ANGELES (WKOW) – The Los Angeles Police Department says it's been working on a plan for months to make sure the Dodgers' home opener Tuesday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates is peaceful.

Police say officers began their patrols near Dodger Stadium on Monday night to make sure no park ordinances are violated, especially those related to alcohol.

Last year, San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow was punched in the head, kicked and slammed to the ground after the home opener. He is still recovering. Two men have pleaded not guilty to charges of mayhem assault and battery in the attack.
