Kraft Foods recalling Planters peanuts

SUFFOLK, Va. (WKOW) -- Check your kitchen cabinets because some Planters peanuts are being recalled.

Planters' parent company, Kraft Foods, announced it was recalling about 3,000 cases of Planters Cocktail Peanuts because the nuts may have been exposed to water that's not intended for food production.

The recall applies only to 12 oz. canisters with a UPC code no. 2900007212 and a code date of January 9, 2014. No other code dates or any other Planters products are being recalled.

There have been no illnesses reported or complaints related to this product. Kraft Foods is recalling the products as a precautionary measure.
