Bielema addresses Sporting News article on Urban Meyer's recruiting

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin football team returned to practice for the first time in 12 days on Tuesday. The team took last week off for spring break.

After practice Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema addressed an article written about new Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer's recruiting tactics in Sporting News. Bielema criticized Meyer's recruiting during a news conference on National Signing Day back on Feb. 1. Bielema's comments were included in the article. After Tuesday's practice, Bielema told the media he did contact Meyer with his concerns about recruiting and that the issues were addressed. Bielema denied that the supposed "gentlemen's agreement" and player "bumping," were not issues that concerned him with Meyer's recruiting. Both were alleged practices of Meyer in recruting, which were included in the article. To hear what all Bielema said after practice click on the video link.
