NEW YORK (WKOW) -- ABC is keeping the country's longest-running TV soap opera on air, at least for one more year.
The network has renewed its one remaining soap, "General Hospital," meaning it will be around for its 50th anniversary on April 1, 2013.
But, the lifestyle show "The Revolution" is not so lucky. It has been cancelled and will air its final episode in July.
Dropping "The Revolution" makes room for Katie Couric's talk show to premiere in September.
