WASHINGTON (WKOW) – Ann Romney is speaking out about a Democrat's swipe at her suggesting she shouldn't be talking about women and the economy since she "never worked a day in her life."
Consultant Hilary Rosen made that comment on CNN late Wednesday. Ann Romney, the wife of wealthy presidential candidate Mitt, fired back on Twitter saying, "I chose to stay at home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work."
President Barack Obama's advisors defended Romney, but Rosen refused to back off. The recent jab is part of the political battle for support from women, the majority of voters and a group that leans heavily toward Democrats.
Ann Romney has criticized how the economy has affected women during Obama's presidency.
