MADISON (WKOW) -- UW-Madison hosted the Science Expeditions today on campus. The annual event is meant to make the university's science research more accessible to the community.
The event showcased dozens of exhibits in more then 20 campus buildings and drew hundreds of families.
Organizer Tom Zinnen said the Expeditions are a great opportunity to get the community involved with UW.
"It's not just about today, it's about 364 more days so that you can connect to these science outreach programs not only here in April but throughout the year," Zinnen said.
Demonstrations included robots, food and a 3-D interactive cave.
