Teen arrested for weapons violation

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 15-year-old Memorial High School student was arrested Wednesday morning after a weapon he was carrying fell onto the floor of a computer lab.

It happened at the Lussier Community Education Center. The weapon, which police say looked like a real 9mm handgun, turned out to be a BB gun.

The student takes a high school class at the Lussier Center. He said he didn't plan to harm anyone with the gun and that he was holding it for someone else.
