MADISON (WKOW) -- Democratic state Rep. Mark Pocan held a forum Monday on issues facing seniors.
Pocan is running for the soon to be vacant seat held by US Rep. Tammy Baldwin.
The forum Monday at the Madison Senior Center focused on the future of Medicare
"I think the biggest concern seniors have is they like Medicare right now, for the most part, Pocan said. "It works for them and anything that reforms the program, they want to make sure it's a positive reform, not a negative reform."
Last month, the House approved a $3.5 trillion budget plan proposed by Republican Rep. Paul Ryan. The GOP package would revamp Medicare by requiring users to get fixed payments to purchase private insurance.
