MADISON (WKOW) – Madison police arrested three women suspected of stealing from Kohl's at the West Towne Mall on Sunday.

Police arrested 32-year-old Johanna Robinson, 34-year-old Latrice Brooks, and 36-year-old Tara Hatter. That's after loss prevention officers at Kohl's called police around 3:15 p.m. Sunday, accusing three women of trying to steal more than $460 worth of merchandise.

Workers at Kohl's tried to stop a woman they say carried a bag of stolen items to a car where two others waited, ready to drive away.

Store surveillance video showed the women were together inside Kohl's and appeared to be working as a team.

Police found the women in the getaway car about an hour later in the 5800 block of Balsam Road.

Police say one woman admitted she worked with the other two to steal merchandise that day.

Inside the car, they found a wire cutting tool, several large empty purses and merchandise from various stores. The merchandise included several bottles of alcohol that were allegedly taken from Copps, 261 Junction Road. Brooks had more than a dozen pieces of jewelry from Charming Charlie valued at more than $190 in her shoulder bag.
