
FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- A Fitchburg man is home recovering after he was stabbed in front of his home Monday morning.
Fitchburg Police tell 27 News the man was walking to his car on Chalet Gardens Road at about 5:00 a.m. when he was approached by two strangers asking for cigarettes. When he told the men he did not have any, they stabbed him in the abdomen and ran off.
The victim was not able to give a detailed description of the suspects.
He was treated and released for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
