MADISON (WKOW) -- State Sen. Van Wanggaard raised about $157,000 since January in his campaign to win a recall election in June.
The GOP lawmaker from Racine now has more than $191,000 in cash on hand, according to financial documents filed with the state elections board Monday.
Wanggaard is one of four state senators facing a recall after supporting a bill that restricted certain collective-bargaining rights.
Wanggaard is expected to face former state Rep. John Lehman of Racine in the recall election on June 5.
Lehman first must defeat Tamra Varebrook in a primary election on May 8. Varebrook of Union Grove is only running to force a Democratic primary.
The candidates' current financial-disclosure reports are due by the end of the night on Monday. Lehman's report has not yet been filed.
