HAYWARD (WKOW) -- The jury to hear the case against a man accused of fatally stabbing a 93-year-old woman will be selected from outside Sawyer County.
Because of extensive media coverage, a judge granted a defense motion to have the jury selected elsewhere. Christopher Roalson is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Irene Roszak in 2009. WEAU-TV says a jury from Vilas County will be selected to hear the case.
Roalson and a 15-year-old boy broke into the victim's home in Radisson and stabbed her, according to Sawyer County prosecutors.
