Janesville women arrested for 5th OWI

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A Janesville woman was arrested for her fifth drunk driving offense early Wednesday morning.

A deputy with the Rock County Sheriff's Office made a traffic stop around 2:30 a.m. on East U.S. Highway 14 near South Milton Shopiere in Janesville. Jennifer Rooney was clocked at 70 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.

When the deputy detected an odor of intoxicants on Rooney's breath he conducted field sobriety tests on Rooney. She failed the tests.

Rooney was arrested for 5^th Offense OWI, and was issued a citation for speeding. She was transported to the Rock County Jail, where she is being held for a preliminary appearance in jail court later on Wednesday.
