MADISON (WKOW) -- Thursday's weather made for an interesting final round of the Morgan Stanley Shootout with some rain delays at University Ridge, so golfers only played nine holes to decide a winner.
Tyler Reinecke started the day with a one-stroke lead but shot a 4-over 40 on the back 9. Madison Memorial's Brad O'Loughlin and Waunakee senior Zach Gaugert forced a three-way playoff, but Reinecke came away with the individual title.
As a team, Middleton won by 6 strokes over Waunakee. The Cardinals were led by Mitch Johnson and Eric Hagstrom, who shot a 1-over 37 and even-par 36, respectively, playing on the front 9.
