Madison police search for robbery suspect

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are searching for a suspect in a robbery on Madison's east side early Friday morning.

Police say the suspect walked into the Open Pantry at 1412 Pflaum Road around 4:30 a.m. and contacted the clerk. They say he displayed a handgun in his waistband and demanded money and cigarettes.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on Pflaum Road. Police were unable to track him using a canine.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male around 5'9" and very skinny. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants and black nylon face mask.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Madison Police Department.
