89-year-old man loses thousands of dollars in scam

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say an 89-year-old man lost more than $7,400 in a scam last month.

He received multiple calls claiming his grandson was in legal trouble in Haiti, according to a police report.

Police say the man wired funds three times before realizing the calls were a scam.
