Motorcycle crash kills Dubuque man

DICKEYVILLE (WKOW) -- A Dubuque man has died after a motorcycle crash.

It happened on Highway 151 south of Dickeyville at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday. The Grant County Sheriff's Department says the motorcycle was traveling an area of highway down to one lane because of construction. The driver pulled into the closed right lane to pass several cars and struck an area where concrete had been removed, causing the motorcycle to overturn.

Deputies say the driver, 60-year-old Thomas W. Jackson of Dubuque, sustained significant head injuries. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque where he was pronounced dead.
